FAQ

Where do the Vietnam mortar values come from?

From community measurement, cross-verified: the full angle/range chart circulating publicly and independently published worked examples agree point-for-point (e.g. 175 m β†’ 67Β°, 225 m β†’ 49Β°). We publish nothing single-sourced. If future readings disagree, the chart gets corrected β€” with credit to reporters.

Do the classic Hell Let Loose values work in Vietnam?

No. Vietnam mortars aim by barrel angle in degrees across a 100–450 m envelope; classic HLL artillery aims in mils across 100–1600 m. They are different weapons with different dials. Classic values live on our classic calculator page.

Are US and NVA mortar tables different?

No faction split has been reported so far β€” the chart appears to apply to both. If your readings say otherwise, submit them via the calibration page and we will split the table.

Is this site official?

No. FireMission is an unofficial fan-made tool, not affiliated with the developers or publisher. It’s free and has no login.

How do I share my calibration with my squad?

Use the Copy share link button β€” it encodes your readings into the URL. Anyone opening the link gets your fitted range card instantly.
