Values cross-checked against three independent community calculators on Aug 14, 2026; all agree on a linear meters→mils map (US/GER 978→622, USSR 1120→800 across 100–1600 m).
How the tables work
- US / British and German guns: 978 mils at 100 m down to 622 mils at 1600 m — 23.7 mils per 100 m.
- Soviet guns: 1120 mils at 100 m down to 800 mils at 1600 m — 21.3 mils per 100 m.
- Rule of thumb when your calculator is closed: US/GER drop ~24 mils, Soviet ~21 mils, for every extra 100 m of range.
